The 1980s console that played retro games such as Jetpac, Chuckie Egg and Jet Set Willy will be made again – in Beeston.

Five million of the original ZX Spectrum, first manufactured by Sinclair Computers in 1982, were sold.

SMS Electronics Ltd, based in Technology Drive, has now been chosen out of 20 manufacturers to reproduce the console by its developer Retro Computers Ltd. Work will begin in the next 12 weeks.
